The flow measurement is an important part of the scientific measurement,which has been widely used in various fields of the national economy, differentialpressure flowmeter is one of the most widely flowmeter. Orifice flowmeter iswidely used in the natural gas flow measurement, but the installation requirementsare relatively high. As a new differential pressure flow meter,V-Cone flowmeter isaffected by the installation conditions which has no uniform nationalstandards.The study on the influence of installation requirement on theperformance of Orifice flowmeter and V-Cone flowmeter is developed in thispaper.First, the paper describes the research of orifice flowmeter and V-coneflowmeter,on this basis, the working principle of the orifice flowmeter and V-coneflowmeter are analyzed,the Bernoulli equation and the continuity equation areused to deduce the orifice flowmeter and the V-Cone flow measurement model forthe following experimental study,which lays a good theoretical basis.Then,the experimental platform for experimental research is designed.Theactual experimental device works and every part are introduced, on the basis ofthis experimental device,the computer software platform for the analysis of theexperimental data is designed, the software process were analyzed in detail.Baffles used in the experiment are choosed,the experimental program is designedand the process is introduced.Depending on the installation conditions,the experimental on the impact ofthe orifice flowmeter and V cone flowmeter measurement accuracy is studied.Different length of straight pipe and upstream choke pieces were experimentalstudied,the length of straight pipe under the conditions of different precision oforifice flowmeter and V cone flowmeter are studied and compared,based on themeasurement request of the accuracy at±1.0%and±0.5%,the experiment isobserved and compared,compared with the orifice flowmeter, V-cone flowmeter has advantages in the complex flow field.
