Because of the wide application of computer technology, modern electric powerand electronic technology, new material technology, as well as advanced processingequipment and processing technology, which causes mechanical and electricalintegration technology which is represented by AC servo precision drive system playsmore and more important role in modern production practice. Multi-disciplinaryknowledge crossing and multi-physical process coupling is a typical characteristic ofcomplex electromechanical system. Backlash as the representative of non-linear factorhas a great influence on system comprehensive performance, and often causes systeminstability such as vibration. When this kind of servo precision drive system is appliedto the production, there will be a variety of hidden or shown poor working conditions,then it is difficult to guarantee high quality of product processing. When it is seriousenough, it can also cause major accident.Due to the above problems, this paper intends to do some in-depth study on ACservo precision drive system, especially non-linear factor of backlash on system stability.Therefore, study on the mechanism of influence of backlash nonlinear factor onvibration characteristic in AC servo drive system is the main topic of this paper andworks will be done as follows:Firstly, this paper will analyze that electromechanical couplings universally exist inmechanical and electrical system, as well as have great harm on the stability of systemoperation. On this basis, this paper will study the main types of electrometrical coupling.Then the coupling principles of every type will be illustrated accordingly. Subsequently,the modeling and solving process of electromechanical coupling will be described.Secondly, this paper mainly studies on AC servo precision drive system, includingthe basic composition of AC servo system and mainly focusing on the basic principle ofpermanent magnet AC servo motor and basic mathematical model. Then the basicstructures and working principles of2K-H type and3K-Ⅱtype of planetary gears willbe described. Subsequently, the commonly used backlash models will be elaborated indetail and the mathematical model of servo precision drive system with backlash will beestablished.In addition, in view of research works in above chapters, this paper will set up themodel of AC servo precision drive system based on2K-H type and3K-Ⅱ type of planetary gear transmission with backlash. Then this paper will deeply study on thesystem vibration characteristics which are caused by backlash nonlinearity. Next, themechanism of the influence of backlash nonlinearity on the stability of AC servoprecision drive system will be revealed.
