In the “5·12”Wenchuan earthquake, the rural areas were damaged seriously. Underthe powerful policy support and the promotion of the government, the people in affectedareas were supported from all over the country. Victims in most of areas had graduallybeen out of trouble after the disaster and ushered in a new round of developingopportunities. In the rural reconstruction, residence reconstruction is fundamental tosolving most of the vittims basic living problems. What Corresponds with theconstruction of large-scale rural residence is the designing of the rural residence atlas, which is the knowledge carrier of the architects. The disaster reconstruction period islimited while construction is in large quantities. There are always a variety ofconstaditions between the design of the rural residence atlas and the rural residenceconstruction practice. At present, a large number of disaster reconstruction project hasbeen completes and used for quite a long period of time. And the problems have exposedin the process of using, which allows us to have the opportunities to re-exmine the ruralresidence reconstection and the archtectural atlas and texts. The topic of this thesis stems from the survey of Sichuan reconstruction after theearthquake and the study of rural residence atlas. The author investigated the conditionwhich includes the use of the rural residence after the Wenchuan earthquakereconstruction in5years in some places like Mianzhu, Shifang and other parts andanalyzed the condition of the practical use of rural residence architectural atlas. Thenthe author took this as the breakthrough point to discuss the design elements ofresidential reconstruction and the architectural atlas and optimize some parts ofarchitectural atlas of reconstruction. The author hoped that the issues raised in theprocess, the design elements summed up and atlas optimization analysis will guide therural reconstruction even the new rural construction. The whole thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter introduces thebackground of research, confirmes the target and the scope of the research andsummarizes that the practice of rural residential reconstruction and the architecturalatlas have been researched both in domestic and foreign. Based on the absorption ofthese research achievements, this study puts forward the significance, the purpose andthe method. the reconstruction of the rural residence with it’s history, arranges theexisting atlas and data of reconstruction, and sum up some problems after reconstruction compared with the content and the state of practice under three kinds of models. Thethird chapter analyzes and sum up the feature and the problem in the practice of ruralresidence to know what the peasant household need through doing surveys on the actualstate in reconstrction area like Mianzhu, Shifang and other parts and doing surveys onthe peasant household. It the existing investigation case in function, structure andcombination aspects and puts forward and gathers the issues in the practice. Then itdiscusses the positive side and difficuties that the rural residence atlas makes andanalyzes the reasons of the partialfailure of the reconstruction. The fourth chapter bringsforward some relevant elements in rural residence reconstruction atlas compilation andstudys the otherness features between them, and elaborates on family requirementpost-disaster, function design, economy, regional efficiency, avoiding and resisting theearthquake and so on. The fifth chapter analyzes and optimizes the issues in the casesand raises some specific atlas implementation strategies.
