Ground Effect Vehicle is a high-speed special aircraft which can get close to seaor earth with ground effect. Nowadays, people have not found a well-developedmovement model of high-speed movement of aircraft in the media between water andair, and the stability of ground effect has not been completely in control. As aconsequence, the aircraft has not been widely used yet. With the constant progress incomputer technology, the research, which is based on computational fluid dynamics ofthe aerodynamic in the field of the aircraft, has been becoming a hot spot. This methodalso provides a valuable reference for obtaining the aircraft aerodynamic layout and itsmovement model. As the control core of the aircraft, the flight control system isresponsible for information collection, calculation of control rate, and sending the datathroughout the entire flight. To design a stable flight control system that is suitable forthe aircraft is of great importance in a high level of research.This paper firstly introduces the main research method of aerodynamics of theground effect vehicle, the principle of computational fluid dynamics, and ANSYSFLUENT software. And then, it chooses the advanced Russian "female harrier" groundeffect vehicle as a model in CATIA for3D reconstruction as well as importing to theANSYS ICEM software to carry on the grid. Lastly, it carries on the calculation ofaerodynamic parameters in theANSYS FLUENT software.Due to most parts of the research materials about ground effect vehicle is kept insecret, the paper selects the ICON A5amphibious ship model plane as a prototype. Bycombining the design experience of flight control system with fixed wing aircraft withthe parameters from aerodynamic analysis, the control system of unmanned groundeffect vehicle has been created.The hardware design adopts double PSoC3consisting of a main processorarchitecture; each is responsible for flight control or navigation data decoding.Meanwhile, extending the external storage area, in order to have a hardware designwith the minimum PSoC3system, airborne sensors, altimeter module, and servomodule. Airborne sensor module consists of Strapdown inertial navigation module,magnetic heading meter module, and GPS module; altimeter module consists of Heightbarometer and Ultrasonic altimeter module; servo drive module consists of servo driveand mode switching. The software design is based on the modular programming ideas, so that each module in the design of hardware implementation can function well. Also,the software is designed to work with Strapdown inertial navigation algorithm andmagnetic heading Angle algorithm for more accurate attitude Angle information. Tosatisfy with the strict requirements of height detection of unmanned ground effectvehicle, the height information fusion algorithm based on adaptive weighted averagemethod is applied in the design.
