Because of the lack of safety and noise about traditional single rotor with tail rotor helicopter, researchers have proposed a ducted tail rotor and tail rotor (NOTAR) technology. This paper designeda single-rotor helicopter anti-torque system based on the flow of cross-flow fan control technology, compared with the conventional single rotor helicopter, the system can better ensure the safety of thehelicopter flying at low altitude; and compared with a helicopter with no tail rotor technology, thesystem can lower the power consumption, maintain a fairly level with no tail rotor technology, andthe system is more simple control. In this paper, made the McDonnell Douglas MD520N no tail rotor helicopter as a referencemodel. According to MD520N anti torque system requirements, this article designed a rotoranti-torque system model based on the cross-flow fan technology, established a new type ofanti-torque system of two dimensional analysis model; established numerical method based on a set ofequations based turbulence NS, suitable for the aerodynamic characteristics of the new anti-torquesystem analysis at the same time. Analysed the anti-torque system feasibility; and analysed theinfluence of structural parameters on the aerodynamic characteristics of the helicopter with the thenew anti-torque system, such as the number of blades, installation angle of blades, the import andexport of width, impeller clearance. And completed the preliminary design of a new type ofanti-torque system; and also analysed of the new type of anti-torque characteristics of the flow fieldwithin the system, and have a preliminary analysis for the internal eccentric vortex; final, analysed thetwo typical flight state, the power requirement of this new type of anti-torque system, and the systemat the end of the beam layout and the control method put forward some suggestions.
