On-board real-time adaptive engine model is the base of Integrated Flight/Propulsion Control,condition monitoring and diagnostic technology. Adaptive modeling method for aero-engine is studiedin this thesis.Firstly,the design point correction was carried out based on the aero-engine component levelmodel. A model optimization algorithm based on changed fitness function was proposed to reduce themodeling error and improve the modeling accuracy. In order to achieve high matching accuracybetween the engine model outputs and the test data, the characteristic correction coefficients of everycomponent, the air-entraining correction coefficients and the pressure recovery correction coefficientswere optimized based on the steady state model.Secondly, correction of the off-design points was researched based on the result of the designpoint correction. A new optimization strategy was proposed based on the multi-point matching and thesegment optimization. In order to achieve the off-design points matching, the GA was used tooptimize characteristic correction coefficients. A correction factor function was introduced to get theremaining off-design points match based on the corrected off-design points.Finally, the adaptive modeling method was researched based on the model corrected. Accordingto the engine component level model, the least square fitting method was adopt to establish the statevariable model. The component deterioration was augmented to the state variable model. The Kalmanfilter and the reduced-dimensional state observer were designed. The engine performancedegradations were estimated and used to adjust the model. The model adaptive ability was realized.
