The growing demand of system and the improving technology provide the avionic system a betterperformance. At the same time, it increases complexity of the system, and avionics system hasbecome the software-intensive equipment. Against this background, the distributed integrated modularavionics (DIMA) that as the future development direction of the avionics system structure has beenput forward. In order to make sure the direction and emphasis for the development in avionic system,it’s important to evaluate the validity of the avionics system. Through analyzing the characteristics ofDMIA architecture, the aim of this paper is to explore an evaluation method for validity of theavionics system, which could realize the evaluation of resource integration, functional integration andAFDX network.Firstly, this article analyzes the DIMA system structure, the technology of resource integration andfunctional integration, to establish the model of computing resources, communication resources andsystem capacity. Then, according to the technical characteristics of the DIMA system, this articleproposes the definition of avionics system, the evaluation index of the validity in resource integration(system throughput, system reliability), functional integration (utilization rate of modules), AFDXnetwork (network load, time-delay). At the same time, this article designs the evaluation architectureand analyzing method of the index. Finally, the Petri net model of the target detection is established toevaluate the resource integration and functional integration. And thorough analysis and calculation ofthe Petri net model of AFDX network to evaluate the network load and time-delay.
