As a kind of new distributed power system, micro-grid is widely applicable due to itshigh efficiency on consuming energy, low loss on feeder and high reliability on power supply.Development and innovation of micro-grid has been listed in the smart grid construction as animportant part. Optimal operation research on micro-grid has great significance, which playsan incomparable role to make micro grid system operate safely, reliably and economically asthe core part of energy management system.Micro grid system based on renewable energy is a typical hybrid power generation systemwith dynamic characteristics, whose energy management and optimization is also alarge-scale and complex problem with dynamics, more constraints and multiple time scales.This paper mainly studied the energy optimization and coordination control strategy onstand-alone micro-grid. Starting from the micro grid system, output power models ofdistributed generation units were established, and then the energy management system wasmodeled combined with research target. Afterwards, on the basis of the established model, themicro grid energy optimization and scheduling method was researched further. Finally theenergy management system model was verified on JADE platform. This paper’s mainresearch tasks are summarized as follows:Firstly, taking the micro-grid system comprised of wind turbine generators, PV generators,diesel generators and batteries as the research object, structure and component of the systemwere analyzed. Then operating characteristic and some important parameters of eachdistributed generation unit in the system were studied, and the output power models wereestablished.Secondly, the modeling method based on the Agent technology for energy managementsystem was approached according to the characteristics of the micro grid system forrenewable energy. Then, the micro mode by the means of mapping the unit nodes in thesystem as an Agent and the macro model of MAS system with bottom-up organizationalstructure were built.Thirdly, based on the time dimension and multi-stage coordination a kind of multiple time scale coordination scheduling plan was put forward for the standalone micro grid system withintermittent energy sources, consists of day-ahead schedule, amended schedule and real-timeschedule. Implementation strategies and optimization modes in three stages were made upaccording to the optimal economic principle. Finally, taking one standalone micro grid systemcomprised of wind turbine generators, PV generators, diesel generators and batteries in onedistrict as an example, three stage schedules were achieved by genetic algorithm on the basisof the power model for the distributed power supply, the simulation results demonstrate thatthe approach is suitable for standalone micro grid system.Fourthly, combined the characteristics of micro power grid with front MAS model, theMAS for energy management system was built in JADE platform. The behavior of eachAgent in the MAS was designed following Agent design principles in JADE. Then, taking amicro power grid system in real-time operation as example, the interaction between Agentswas realized and the process was simulated in which the MAS took advantage of batteryAgent to make energy dispatch and coordination control.The research in this paper was supported by the project of National Natural ScienceFoundation of China (51177050)--Distributed renewable energy technology research based onthe high frequency alternating current technology.
