In recent years, along with the development of power grid and the automation ofsubstation, all the110kilovolt substations in Dongguan have been carried out unattendedoperation and centralized control. Currently, the centralized control center is responsible forperambulatory、surveillance、switching operation and substation management integratedservices within their jurisdiction. It has put forward higher requirements for the operation andmanagement of the centralized control center.However the traditional operation model had been limited by the fixed shift system.According to the surveillance and switching operation, the people of the entralized controlcenter are grouped to two or four groups. In this system, all groups carry out both short-termwork and long-term work. This had reduced the efficiency and security of the entralizedcontrol center invisibly.The rationality of the operation mode of the centralized control center plays afundamental role in security and stability of the power grid. This paper is a research on theoperation mode of centralized control center. First, we analyze the rule and the disadvantageof the centralized control center by researching the development and operation mode ofDongguan power grid to discover the solution for the centralized control centre under the newsituation. Second, refer to the operation mode of domestic substations, we innovate aoperation model and specific implementation plan in accordance with Dongguan power grid.At last, using the pilot exploration practice to analyze the data of pilot run in order tosummarize and perfect operation modeThe optimize operation model sets up three functional groups. They are thecomprehensive group、operation group and monitoring group. This model is more flexible bysetting the regular shift and fixed shift model, optimizing the professional division andallocation of workers. This optimized operation model can solve the problem of substationmanagement effectively under the rapid development of power grid. It is important toimprove the management level of electric power enterprises.
