China is at the peak of construction, the rapid development of city construction leads to alarge number of construction wastes. Besides, road Construction especially pavementconstruction need a large number of high quality gravel. Using part of construction waste inroad construction can not only alleviate the situation of shortage of natural aggregates, butalso help solve the problem of construction waste processing. The research in the paper isabout the recycling of waste concrete aggregate and application in cement stabilized base.About production of recycled aggregate、enhancement and performance evaluation andcomposition design method, performance evaluation and strength criteria of cement stabilizedbase material containing recycled aggregate. The Research not only provide theoreticalsupport for use of recycled aggregate, but also achieve good economic, social andenvironmental benefits.First, the dissertation test physical and mechanical properties of recycled aggregate,including water absorption、 crushed stone value and bulk density etc, at the sametime,observe the microstructure of recycled aggregate by using SEM image. The results showthat the water absorption and crushed stone value of recycled aggregate higher than naturalaggregate, density lower than natural aggregate because of voids and micro-cracks. Toimprove the performance of recycled aggregate, we need to take strengthening measures.Second, using Los Angeles abrasion tester carry on physical strengthening, chemicalreinforcement is using chemicals. To evaluate the strengthening effect, we test physical andmechanical properties of the strengthened recycled aggregate. Under the conditions of400circles and ten balls, Los Angeles abrasion tester can lower crushed value to22.9%, waterabsorption to4.2%, both of them meet the specification requirements; after adding activator torecycled aggregate, pores are effectively blocked, crushed value and water absorption werelowered. The activation effect of organic silicone resin is better than silane coupling agent andtitanate coupling agent. The optimum dose of activator is3.77%, in the optimum dose, thecrushed stone value of strengthened recycled aggregate were lowered to19%, waterabsorption to2%or less, and activation process as well as the applicability of recycled aggregate were researched.Third, by using recycled aggregate instead of natural aggregate respectively0%,30%,60%,30%, the cement dosage is4%and5%, we test the strength and compression modulusof resilience of recycled aggregate. The paper achieved the variation of road performancewith the varying of cement dosage and the relative proportions of recycled aggregate.the roadperformance fully meet the requirements.At last, by changing the thickness of road surface and modulus of pavement base thepaper uses Bisar software to calculation and analysis reasonable modulus of pavementstructure of highways and secondary roads. the paper establish the model by the relationshipsof the modulus and strength of7d,90d,the paper also recommend7d strength Standard ofrecycled aggregate stability materials, with regard to secondary roads:2.5~3.178MPa,highway:3.5~3.938MPa.
