With the rapid development of our economy and the continuous improvement of theChinese income, the ownership of car is increasing year by year, and the car brings our lifeunprecedented convenience. At the same time, this also causes more problems for the trafficadministration. As for a large number of road accidents, the vehicle active safety technologyhas began to be concerned on. The bus collision avoidance warning system which plays animportant role in the vehicle active safety technology is able to prevent the traffic accidentsby giving a warning signal to the driver. Based on these facts, this paper designed thesimulation platform of the bus collision warning avoidance warning system. During thedeveloping process, the research work was focused on the following aspects:Researched on the bus collision avoidance warning radar simulation system. Analyzedthe performance requirement of the radar, and selected the working frequency of the system.Based on the analysis and the comprehension of the signal waveforms and the measuringprinciple of the four common collision avoidance warning radars, determined the transmittingsignal waveform of the radar. Stated the structure of the radar system, and built the wholesimulation model of the radar system, which include the transmitting, receiving and the targetmodel.This paper has researched the safety distance model of the bus collision avoidancewarning system and proposed the warning algorithm. By analyzing the process of the busbraking and combing the existing safety distance model, this paper proposed the theoreticalfoundation of the safety distance model,built the safety distance model based on the dynamicstatement of the former car and determined the key parameters of the model. Proposed themethod to judge the motion state of the former car and the warning algorithm.This paper has researched the simulation platform of the bus collision avoidancewarning system and has studied deeply in the modeling method by3ds Max software and theOpenGL graphical interface. In3ds Max software, the model of the car and road`s3d modelwere created. And imported the models to the VC++environment to redraw them. Utilizingthe grouping and the sky spheroid technology to draw the geography and the sky. Andutilizing the geometric drive technology to control the model of the car in the visible window. Designed the functional modules to realize the development of the bus collision avoidancewarning system simulation platform. At last, in the developed platform it set differentconditions to simulate the procedure of the bus collision avoidance warning to verify thefeasibility of the developed platform.
