The short of petroleum and other fossil fuel has become a stern reality for everycountry. As the main power device of automobile, Internal-combustion engine is mainpollution sources and consumption of oil resources. In order to solve the problemmentioned above and to insure the sustainable development of automobile industry, therealization of engine energy conservation and emissions reduction has become more andmore important. Improve and control the combustion process is the most direct andeffective way. HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) engine combines theadvantages of traditional gasoline engine and diesel engine. This is one kind ofcombustion that happens after compressing the mixture of fuel and air to an auto-ignitiontemperature. A wide range of fuels can be used by HCCI engines. And HCCI has very lowemissions of NOxand PM. Thus it becomes a popular research field of the development ofthe internal combustion engine. In spite of all outstanding advantages of HCCI engine, butit has to face the challenges of combustion phase directly controlling and operationalrange remarkably extending.In order to solve those problems of HCCI combustion, the researchers have carried out,by means of inlet heating, variable compress ratio, VVT, internal/external EGR, fuelreformation and DI etc. Undoubtedly, Fuel reformation is an effective method to controlHCCI combustion. This way is more flexible, it can use the high temperature burned gasand new charger to generate reformed gas, then the reformed gas is injected into cylinderin next cycle. So by this way can flexible control HCCI combustion. Therefore, our teambased on the method of installing a fuel reformation system to primary engine to searchHCCI combustion.Based on the idea mentioned above, this thesis designed electronic control system ofthe fuel online modification test engine. Based on the current experiment requirement, thesimulation before and the research achievements at home and abroad, We developed theelectronic control unit on the test engine. Considering the structure of this system, thethesis describes the requirement of electronic control system, the relative sensors andactuator, and accomplishes the hardware designing and software programming. This paper provided the theoretical basis to realize controllable HCCI combustion.
