Concrete pump is one kind of concrete conveying equipments, which has an importantplace in the infrastructure construction. For common concrete pumps, pump-cylinders arestopped in the direction changing process of distributing valves, which result in the pumpingprocess being interrupted for a short time, and then produces a periodic impact vibration.Consequently, the vibration damages the concrete pumps, hydraulic components and powersystems, makes the boom shake heavily, reduces the construction quality seriously, and evenmay cause accidents. Therefore, studies of the concrete pump with continuous and constantflow pumping system are of great significance in eliminating periodic reverse vibration andimproving the quality and safety of the construction.The continuous and constant flow pumping control system of the concrete pump and itskey control techniques on the basis of previous researches are studied in this paper. Byanalyzing continuous and constant flow pumping system with its principle, work timing andperformance requirements, the paper has studied6issues mainly. Firstly, functionalrequirements of the control system are proposed, and then the control scheme is determinedand the hardware of the control system is selected; Secondly, a concrete continuous andconstant flow pumping control system is developed based on CAN bus and Inter Controlconstruction machinery controllers, and the control logics of fundamental functions such asstart and stop control, pump and reverse pump control, auto-reverse pump control, pointingcontrol, reset control, treat piston control and so on are determined; Thirdly, the pumpingsystem is studied with its accelerating and decelerating control, and mechanical properties ofthe process, pumping time parameters and pumping quantity control and suction control, andthen the control processes are given. Then the engine speed and the main hydraulic pumpdisplacement are matched, and different control methods are used for constant flow controland energy-saving control modes to focus on achieving the corresponding two goals. Lastly, asoftware of continuous and constant flow pumping control system is developed.
