| Water is the source of life, is an important material basis for human survival and thedevelopment of society. But the regional distribution of water resources in China is extremelyuneven. Scientific and rational allocation of water resources has become an important issue toprotect the sustainable development of socio-economic. Our country’s territory is vast, terrainis complex and significant fluctuations. This caused some difficulty for the implementation oflong-distance water transfer project. In addition, with the rapid development of the nationalinfrastructure and the progress of science and technology, water pipeline design hasdevelopmented from the initial single pipeline to the complex pipeline with multiple branch.It also seriously affected the safe operation of the water pipeline. Especially in pressure flowand long-distance water supply system, water hammer phenomenon occurs easily, evencavities collapsing water hammer accidents will occur.This paper comparatively explains the protection of water hammer in pressure flow andlong-distance water supply system with and without branch pipe, analyzes the flow of gasand liquid two phase flow and conversion process, compendiously introduce the reason ofcolumn separation phenomenon and the calculation method when water flows disrupted inpipeline. The paper also briefly explains the basic differential equations of water hammercalculation and the basic principle of the characteristic line method with the finite differenceequation. According to the calculation method of the characteristic line method, differentboundary condition equations are given. Pressurized water pipeline with branch have animpact on water hammer fluctuation based on the summary of previous studies.Combined with the specific project about HuoQiu long distance water conveyanceproject. By simplifying the pipe system (it only have a single water transfer pipeline) andrestoring the pipe system (it is water pipelines with branch pipes), the two respects all takedifferent water hammer protections.It comparatively analyzes the protection of water hammerin pressure flow and long-distance water supply system with and without branch pipe anddemonstrates the branch pipes having an impact on the water hammer protection, meanwhileproposing the best water hammer protection. |
