With the rapid development of China’s economy, increasing of life andproduction water. And water pollution problem not only didn’t get effective solutionand increasingly serious, this will make our country’s existing water resources supplyand demand contradictions become more prominent. In order to completely mitigatethis contradiction, state and local governments invest a lot of manpower and materialresources, support long distance water conveyance project construction. In long-distance water conveyance project, the most common and the most prominentproblem is the long-distance water pipelines protection against water hammer.Therefore, in order to guarantee the safe operation of the water supply system, needthrough the study of all kinds of pressure protection device and the project specificconditions of water hammer analysis, choose the safe and reliable, economic andeffective water hammer protective measures.Based on pressure protection device in the role of long-distance waterconveyance pipeline water hammer protection as the research direction.On the basisof predecessors’ research results, this paper briefly introduces the water hammer wavevelocity equation, differential equation and characteristic line equation and finitedifference equation, and the detailed expounds all kinds of pressure protection device,the pressure regulating tower, exhaust valve, slow close check valve, pressure reliefvalves, pressure relief of all kinds of measures such as constant pressure valveworking principle, main technical points and boundary conditions are made a detailedintroduction and classification. Also put forward some problems that should be paidattention to when choosing protection measures, make the water hammer calculationprocess more accurate.According to the water hammer calculation often used characteristic method, andcombined with the boundary conditions of the various protective measures of waterhammer calculation is established the basic mathematical model, and application of water hammer protection calculation program compiled C language, simulation ofwater hammer.The end of this article to xinjiang fukang industrial park pumping engineeringcomputer is simulated as an example, through a lot of calculation data and charts fordifferent protective measures in the protection of the pipeline on the comparison, thusin the practical calculation proves the different water hammer protective measures onthe impact of water hammer protection, and finally the analysis and comparison ofalternative through the actual project is given the best water hammer protectivemeasures. Only through study of all kinds of pressure protection device, further studythe principle and effect of various devices to make we choose better in the laterproject example, more in line with the engineering practice of water hammerprotective measures, and also is helpful for water hammer protection research anddevelopment of the new device.
