As China’s transportation energy conservation promotion and advocacy of green travel,urban public transport system and foot traffic system have been developing vigorously.Metro with high-capacity, convenience, timeliness and other advantageous features has beenwidely favored by the government and passengers. Its operation quality is directly related tothe concordance with all kinds of transportation and the overall functionality of playing.However, Metro’s unique operating environment and limited space, easy to form densepopulations, even more crowded spots, which pose a potential threat to the passengers.Therefore, this article concerns the key technology research on the congestion recognitionand early warning and controlling of subway transfer hub station. It plays an important roleon achieving pedestrian safety and security.Combining with the influence of different service facilities to the crowded pedestrian,this research analyzed the causes of congestion and distribution points. For fuzziness andrandomness in the crowded state divided, introduces the cloud model to identify pedestrianscrowded in subway transfer hub station. In the area of early warning and controlling, thispaper proposes equal dimensional and new information grey model to forecast short-timedynamic traffic data, improve forecast accuracy. And according to the range of crowded,divide4warning levels, set up early-warning system, design control programs under thevarious alert status.Finally, take the only current transfer hub station in Xi’an North Avenue station for thestudy. Through field research and data processing, fitting a transfer hub station pedestrianspeed, density, flow-type as a function. Contrast horizontal channel, the transfer channel,stairs, site traffic characteristics and found similar densities, the site has the largestpedestrian traffic. Identify the crowded pedestrian cloud of transfer channel on peak hoursof weekdays, determine the warning level forⅠ, and use the level-to-level administration toachieve the congestion control, which prove the feasibility and practicability of the system.
