Structural parameter of Intake system has significant effect on charging efficiency,inlet gas resistance, inlet gas uniformity, which contributes to the performance of power,economical efficiency and emission behavior. FSAE events require the installation betweenthe throttle valve and the cylinder valve to limit the power limiting. So its intake systemoptimization design is particularly important. This article is mainly for CAE simulation andoptimization design of FSAE racing engine intake system of GSX R600.Briefly describes the status of the engine intake system research and development, tostudy the dynamic effects and energy loss in the gas flow in the intake system. GT-Powersoftware using established engine model, and the model was validated. Influence of inletpipe length and resonator volume on engine performance was analyzed. The length of theintake manifold was165mm, and the volume of regulator chamber was about2L.The basic knowledge of fluid dynamics was introduced. Using CATIA softwareestablished the air intake system including flow-limiting valve-voltage stabilizing cavity-3d model of intake manifold, and a CFD pretreatment was carried out. Usingthree-dimensional fluid simulation software FLUENT simulation for the metering valvesand voltage stabilizing chamber is calculated respectively. velocity field, differentialpressure and mass flow of import and export under different structural parameters wasComparied. length of Flow-limiting valve front was40mm, and cone Angle was14degrees,The diffuser divergent length of flow-limiting valve is180mm, and the cone Angle of6degrees; Cavity volume is2.2L. on the basis of cavity volume, the structural parameters ofthe wind cup.was determined.In this paper, the engine air intake system was designed combining one-dimensionalcycle engine working process simulation with three-dimensional CFD analysis of flow field.Dynamic performance of engine inprove in the presence of low-limiting valve. For FSAEcar air intake system design was put forward, and have important value and significance.
