Area of weihe river in shaanxi province to the east side of the transition zone ofthe loess plateau and the weihe river basin, the surface water source is less, waterquality is poor. The common see problem are high hardness, high fluorideandexcessive mercury etc. the most severe one is the excessive fluoride issue and itdirectly affects the development of local economy and do harm to the physical andmental health of local residents, so it is our urgent job to solve the problems relatedto the excessive fluoride in the source water. This paper based on the reaction between aluminum ions and F-together withthe F-adsotption on aluminium salt to reduce the concentration of F-in water.polyaluminium chloride (PAC) and aluminum sludge from waterworks were used inour experiments. this research contents: the dosage of PAC and effect of the externalenvironment from the nature of the aluminum sludge the influence of externalenvironment, static experiment, dynamic experiment and through the adsorptionbehavior of F-by different size of aluminum sludge particles to concluded the blockcoefficient of aluminum sludge, and analyzes the influence of aluminum sludgeadsorption ability, the permeability of block, the organic matter content and pH on theblock coefficient, Then draw the following conclusions:1. PAC can adsorb the F–in water, when the dosage of PAC is600mg/L, theresidual F-in water can meet National Drinking Water Standards, the best standingtime45min, the residual F-in water increased with the increase of pH, the pH ofraw water is6.81, in order not to increase the subsequent processing we do noadjustment to the pH of raw water.2. Through the experiment of the aluminum sludge, when the dosage ofaluminum sludge is greater than1.2gthe residual F-in the effluent can meet theNational Drinking Water Standards, the best time standing time is60min, pH is notmaking any changes (the pH of sludge is6.4), the adsorption capacity of aluminum sludge is bigger when it is treated through acidification, when there are anionic intreated water, the blocking ability of anionic is: SiO32-> PO43-> SO42-> NO3-,thescan electron microscopy (sem) and X-ray diffraction experiments can further verifythat aluminum sludge can adsorb F-.3. Isothermal adsorption experiment show that the curve of F-adsorbed onaluminum sludge is in line with Langmuir adsorption curve model Adsorptionthermodynamics experiment shows that the process is endothermic reactionspontaneously, the adsorption quantity increased with the rise of temperature.4. The adsorption kinetics of Aluminum sludge–is in line with the second orderkinetic equation and the adsorption rate is: the large particles> the medium-sizedparticles> small particles; all of them in accordance with pseudo secondaryadsorption curve, the adsorption capacity of–the sludge is: small particles> themedium-sized particles> the large particles.5. The blocking ability of aluminum sludge to F-meet the order: smallparticles> the medium-sized particles> the large particles The permeability ofaluminum sludge, the content of organic matter, pH, and adsorption ability do acertain influence on the block coefficient of aluminum sludge.
