Water is the foundation of human survival. There are limited water resources can be usedon earth, besides,it is non-uniform distribution. Along with our country urbanization andsustainable development of economic society, increasing water demand of human, the waterresources supply and demand contradiction is increasingly intensified. In order to acceleratethe development of modern city construction process, and to ensure that the supply of waterresources, strengthening the construction of the water resources allocation is one of the urgenttopic. And to complete this subject, in the first place, it is important to make sure the safety ofthe pressure water pipeline conveyance. Water hammer protection problem, however, is tostudy the safe operation of the system at the core of the water pipe road. Therefore, in order tosolve the problem of water hammer protection, it is necessary to research all kinds of pressureprotection device and consider it with the engineering actual situation, selecting an economicand reasonable, safe and reliable, convenient management of water hammer protectionscheme.This article is focus on a variety of pressure protection device, integrating with thepresent situation of water resources,and point out the universality and importance of longdistance water diversion.At the same time, it is built on the water hammer at home andabroad research status, briefly, introduced the the basic theory and calculation method ofwater hammer, analyzed the process of pipeline transient flow computer simulation.The characteristics of the pressure water pipe and its water hammer pressure was studyed,detailed introduced the water hammer protection in various boundary conditions for waterhammer calculation. Expounded the working principle and performance characteristics of thevarious pressure protection device (including surge tower, exhaust valve, slow close checkvalve, pressure relief valves, pressure relief constant pressure valve, pressure tank and waterhammer eliminator, etc.), and provided a simple comparison summary for all kinds of pressure protection device to choose an optimal plan for water hammer protection.According to the theory knowledge of water hammer calculation, written in c++tocomputer program, calculated the practical project of water hammer of east reed in Fu Suicountry of sugar division of sugarcane high-efficiency water saving irrigation engineering ofGuang Xi province. Through the analysis of a large number of calculation data and charts, andcomparing with the characteristics of all kinds of water hammer protection device, then havechosen a best operation condition and water hammer protection scheme. At the same time,there is a brief description and summary of this project, and research results and suggestionsof this thesis.It is a very complicated problem of water hammer protection in pressure waterconveyance project.Only through researching the principle and the characteristics of all kindsof pressure protection device, constantly optimizing the engineering design solutions andimprovement, and comprehensively analyzing on the advantages and disadvantages of variousprotective measures, and creatively improving the original device or develop new devices, canit content the satisfy the economy, reliability and safety of the project demand. So we canchoose a actual optimal water hammer protection scheme.
