With the growing of contradiction between lack of energy and building energyconsumption, large public buildings’ energy consumption has become a hot issue of concernand research. Especially the space structure large public buildings, due to the particularity ofits using function, leading to the amount of its energy consumption big and volatile. How touse the characteristics of this building exterior area large and roof open, rational use of theroof space, to promote the use of renewable energy; to achieve solar building integration. Thestudy is significance, and it is the inevitable trend of future development of building energyefficiency.This paper studies the application of solar energy technology in large public buildings as astarting point, Through on-site investigation and analysis, to apply it summarized into threeapplication modes: solar thermal applications, lighting applications, photovoltaic applications.Analysis focused on the feasibility of the application of solar technology portfolio. Made apoint that should be based on actual needs of building interior, a reasonable division of thearrangement region of different application solar roofing receiving support, to maximize theuse of the roof space and improve the utilization efficiency of solar energy. Photovoltaictechnology is the focus of future solar technology development, the combination technologyof photovoltaic applications and roofing structure is the main object of study to analyze.According to the degree of integration between the photovoltaic array and the roof,Photovoltaic roof will be divided into BAPV roofing system and BIPV roofing system. FromPV modules selection and arrangement, the form of PV modules support selection andsystems design, to analysis and study roofing system structure and design characteristics ofthese two classes photovoltaic roof. The results showed that the degree of integration of BIPVroofing is high, but the system’s individuality is greater than its commonality, so analyze specific issues should be taken in design; BAPV roof is semi-independence, on the basis ofexisting photovoltaic technology is more conducive to guarantee the component generationefficiency and it is more common.BAPV roofing design process are summarized as follows: PV component selection→Roofing assembly arrangement→Bracket selection→Bracket structure design. After acomprehensive analysis and comparison, Proposed PV module selection, arrangement andbracket selection optimization. First, depending on different specification standards’ formulaconfiguration and calculation results, wind load standard values and load combinations of PVroof stent design were analyzed, Recommend the reasonable wind loads and loadcombinations calculated; secondly, according to the results of analysis, using numericalsimulation software for analysis Sap2000numerical simulation analysis PV mountingstructures in case of different wind load design portfolio value, and Analyzed the deflection ofeach component under different circumstances to obtain stent structure’s role of law andproposed optimization program. Based on the results, given the optimal design of BAPVroofing system, and combined with engineering examples to verify the feasibility and optimalresults.Taking Shanghai World Expo Chinese Theme Pavilion photovoltaic roofing system as anexample, to analyze its practical application, the results show that the annual powergeneration of this system is about2.80×106degrees, and the energy saving effect is veryimpressive. the normal operation of the main building could be340days, and the energysaving effect is very impressive. Therefore, it is a certain value and promotion prospects forlarge public buildings and community combining photovoltaic system with roofing.
