There are many methods to study dynamic positioning ship, the index of positioningeffect put forward is not consistent, if depend on the real ship test to determine theperformance of the system entirely during the development process, then not only will cost alot of manpower, material and financial resources, but also not clear whether the dynamicpositioning system is reasonable or effective, it is a virtually worth researching. The purposeof evaluating the effectiveness of dynamic positioning is to make designing specification ofdynamic positioning system standardized, find the problem by evaluation and sum upexperience, so as to improve the design efficiency of the DP system, improve the dynamicpositioning operation mechanism, and finally improve overall the positioning performanceoperation mechanismThis paper established the evaluation index system and evaluation model of dynamicpositioning system from the RAM index, personnel index of dynamic positioning systemand the comprehensive performance index by taking a trailing suction hopper dredger as aresearch object. Finally the evaluation algorithm is studied and improved based on fuzzycomprehensive evaluation, and the VB language is used to design and implement thecalculation assessment software.The major work is completed as follows:(1) It established the evaluation index systemof dynamic positioning system from the RAM index, dynamic positioning system personnelindex and the comprehensive performance index by using the Delphi method and thehierarchical structure;(2) The valuation models established conclude single factorevaluation models and general evaluation model after studied the fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation algorithm based on AHP;(3) The method AHP based on fuzzy evaluation and themethod named IAHP-F were using to evaluate the RAM index of dynamic positioningsystem;(4) This paper uses the method of dynamic fuzzy comprehensive assessment toassess the personnel index (a kind of variable factor) by introducing theory of dynamicfuzzy sets into the dynamic positioning system of variable factors evaluation activities;(5)Using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to assess the comprehensive performance indexwhich includes computer control system, measuring system and propulsion system, Finallyanalytic the result of each factor influence on the assessment results;(6) The program designand software development based on VB language is realization according to the algorithm of dynamic positioning system of index system and comprehensive evaluation model.The comprehensive effectiveness evaluation model and the methods of research areanalyzed and verified by taking a trailing suction hopper dredger as a research object, thisevaluation method can provide reference for designing and perfecting dynamic positioningsystem.
