Slewing bearing is a large-scale bearing that can bear larger axial direction, radialjoint load and capsizing moment at the same time. As the core component of the largeengineering machinery, the stability and longevity of the operation of slewing bearingare very significant. Therefore, the thermal treatment quality of slewing bearing is putforward with high requirements.According to the significant influence that the change of inductor standoff distance(the distance between the sensor and the workpiece surface) have had on the slewingbearing hardening quality, this thesis will give an application study on the automatictracking control system for slewing bearing inductor standoff distance. Meanwhile,this thesis will also utilize the laser displacement sensor to build a closed-loopfeedback control system that based on the distance changes, which adapt non-contacttest methods for inductor standoff distance. Therefore, the author utilized modularPLC programming method and the strong operational HMI human-machine interfaceprogram to realize the full automatic control of induction hardening machine. Then,the author analyzed the roundness error of slewing bearing body through all theinductor standoffdistance data, and provided data support for its roundness errorcorrection. At last, the author made experiments to verify the automatic trackinginfluence on this system.According to the theoretical analysis and experimental verification, this researchhighly integrated mechanical technology, laser technology, microelectronics and othersubjects, and also it solved the key technical problems about the restriction of slewingbearing induction heating equipment, and laid a solid foundation for complex curvedsurface induction hearing hardening technology.
