| As the development of construction industry and informatization, Buildinginformation modeling (BIM) and its related technology, has grown to the veryimportant part. It is praised as future development direction. However, theconnection of it with energy analysis programs still need to be developed. Theintent of this study was to test the interface between BIM software, such like Revit, with the energy analytic software, such as Ecotect and IES(VE). And check if it isinformative enough to deliver the information needed. The research purpose of this study is to evaluate and improve theinteroperability from building information modeling to energy analytic software.Inculding several key joint of information delivery, analyse problems existed andtry to help to make up the lost information. This study content including evaluate the software (Revit as example), andchech the interoperability with energy analysis program like Ecotect and IES(VE).This study also tested the capacity of carrying and exchanging information of threefile formats: DXFs, gbXMLs and IFCs. Then analyzed what information wastransferred during the process. This study also tested the implant analytical model inRevit. In the end, the study try to improve the interface between Building informationmodeling platform and the energy analytic programs, design a small connector tobridge the connection problem. By designing a set of families template file, then thepatch can add building material values to the construction database. Finally importin to a Revit project, to make the model more informative, and optimize thetransform process. |
