With the fast development towards the direction of being highly synthesizedand information exchanging, the design of modern aerospacecraft s electronicsystem required the data to be synthesized on signal level. Therefore, the dataexchanged through A/D rapidly increased, and the data conveyed on bus are notonly commands and status, but also intermediate data. At the same time, wi th thesteady powerfulness of whole system s functions, such as images of remotesenser, audio and video signals, or tediously long file information, and etc., itneed nearly hundred million-bps bandwidth, while the traditional system transferbus, such as MIL-STD-1553B, can not satisfy the need and have been hardlyextended into new field, so development of high data bus technology must beenforced. With more attention has been paied to the fiber bus technology inspace communication system, FC-AE is broadly applied and developed in thefield of avionics measurement system, astronautical rocket, satellite, aerospacestation, space missile and so on. Therefore, high transmission rate and largecapacitance as well as flexibility and directional information distributionprotocol are the crux of the increasing aerospace craft properties anddevelopment ability.First, this paper describes the overall design of the rocket borne test system,including basic characteristics of FC-AE-1553bus, physical transport layer andtransfer medium,network topology structure, protocol criterion, frame format,bus interface module design and functionality, and etc.Next, the paper uses two chapters to describe the hardware system andFPGA implementation of the bus interface module. We introduces the workingprinciple, FPGA core implementation, and FC-AE-1553protocal design from theviewpoint of two working mode, i.e., DSP based embedded mode and PCI-Ebased bus monitor mode. Also, the functions implementation of NetworkController (NC) and Network Terminal (NT) is presented.Finally, considering the aerospace scraft test system as background, thepaper constructed the simple loop topology, testing platform, and testing scheme for five working modes. I draw up system process model and FC-AE-1553bustransmit protocol, established system model experiment using the softwareplatform, emulated function index of FC-AE-1553network, verified the busadaptability as system backbone bus.
