Roller rocker arm is one of the important parts in valve train with overhead camshaft type of automobile engine, Its function is to transfer the force which is from the camshaft, and change the forceā€™s direction to the valve, so that it can open or close the valve. When the engine is running, roller rocker arm working conditions are very strict and bad, rocker arm will swing under a lot of bending moment and cyclic loading, so when designing rocker arm, it should have sufficient strength, stiffness and life, and under the premise that satisfy these performance also should have less weight to reduce material resources. Rocker arm body belongs to mass production, so it needs to consider the structure design is feasible and the manufacture is rational.With the rapid development of technology of computer aid design and manufacture, this dissertation is according to the finite element method, it completes the computer aided design and analysis on roller rocker body of a certain car engine by using the software Solidworks, ANSYS and DYNAFORM. Through this method, it can greatly shorten the development cycle time, and save a lot of manpower and material resources, financial resources, it also provides necessary theory basis and performance prediction for roller rocker arm structure improvement and stamping process scheme optimization, and also bring greater economic benefits for the enterprise and product market competition.In this dissertation, the main research contents are:1. It uses the Solidworks software to create3D solid modeling of roller rocker body;2. It analyses the rocker arm body working situation, and uses the ANSYS-Workbench software to complete the static strength analysis, the modal analysis and the fatigue life analysis on rocker arm body, so that provides a basis for the structure improvement;3. Under the premise that ensuring the use of the rocker arm body performance, it improves the rocker arm structure to cut material weight, then verifies the rationality of the improved structure design by the ANSYS Workbench software;4. To analyze the forming process of the improving rocker arm body, it makes two kinds of process scheme, and uses DYNAFORM software to simulate the stamping process respectively, and according to the results to choose the reasonable stamping scheme, then with different rounded corners of the die and different blank-holder force is discussed in detail on its stamping quality.Through analyzing and researching, it shows that the rocker arm body can be lightweight designed under the condition of meeting the performance, it can save the material in the mass production to achieve energy and emission reduction, and verify the manufacturability of rocker arm body structure, also it can prevent the irrationality of internal structure design from the source and make the reasonable stamping technology scheme.
