After1990s, with the spreading of Western design in China, people began to admire Western civilization, thinking only could Western ecological landscape accord with contemporary aesthetic. Because of this opinion, people became self-abased about local culture, leading phenomenon of imitation and plagiarism, no respect for local culture and making a lack of characteristics in wetland park all around the country. Xixi national wetland park is a typical urban wetland park, studying its ways of dealing with culture conflicts in Western ecological theory, according with ecological theory and local culture, leading a way from cultural self-abased to cultural self-esteem, regaining the local culture, which made a essential contribution to the expression of local culture in the construction of national wetland park.This paper is based on the theory of imagologie, using research methods of literature research, surveying, mapping, external research and internal research, from the aspects of history, culture, folk customs and geographical environment, studying the original images of Xixi Wetland Park, elaborating the conflicts between Western theory and Xixi local culture, analyzing its progress of absorbing ecological theory and rebuilding of local culture, finding a way from cultural self-abased to cultural self-esteem and discussing phenomenon of cultural fragments in the process of planning and designing of Xixi national wetland park. Results as follows:(1) Xixi National Wetland park has its own characteristics of landscape and it is a modern theme park with idea of ecology. In the aspect of its own characteristics, Xixi Wetland Park used landscape elements:mountain, water, plants and so on to show a original image of original village, Nowata, grass and trees, according with concept of ecological design at the same time, to create a modern theme park for us.(2) Xixi National Wetland Park combined Western ecology theory with traditional culture, making rebirth of local culture. Facing conflicts between Western ecology theory and Xixi local culture, Xixi National Wetland Park was based on the principal of ecological design in Western ecology theory and also payed attention to the expression of Xixi local culture, creating landscape combined ecology and demonstration.(3) Xixi National Wetland Park found a way from cultural self-abased to cultural self-esteem, regaining local culture. Confronting self-abased feeling about Jiangnan, Xixi National Wetland Park combined Xixi local culture, restoring its own characteristics to rebuilt cultural self-esteem.(4) The phenomenon of cultural fragments in the process of planning and designing of Xixi national wetland park. The process of expression of local culture in Xixi National Wetland Park, its own pure local culture changed, losing its original scenes of life, instead by strangers’ bazaar, tourist home or others’ feast, which separated the connotation of traditional culture.
