Based On Regional Culture Characterized Nanyue Airport In Space Plan

The increasing economic globalization emphasized the facilitation and convenience in aviation. As a city’s traffic pivot and visit card, the infrastructure-equipped but feature-absent airport terminal, which inherit the culture and the development progress, gets more attention recently. A indoor space design of an aerodrome, which equipped with indigenous cultural characteristics, exclusiveness, and anti-reproduction, gains popularity from designers.By literature research method, survey research method, comparison analysis method, empirical summary method and practical cases method, this paper explored the Nanyue Airport indoor space design with the evolving aerodrome theme. From its space characteristics, we analyzed the space functionality, the detailed functional classification, and current status of domestic airport indoor space design, uncovered the deficiencies and some worth-learning part of the design; from the researches of the indoor space partition, especially about the distinguished features of the native culture, we summarized what influenced the Nanyue Airport indoor space design, which are religious, folk-custom, terrestrial factors. By further analysis, principles of airport indoor space design of cultural emerged:the modernity principle, the integrity design expressing principle, the experiential native culture principle, the symbolization design principle, the metaphorical space environment principle and the intuitive emotional resonance principle. Then we applied theories summarized above to some practical project.
