Seismic concept design requires that a structure must be designed as regularly aspossible to make it have a better seismic performance. However, a structure could notbe designed regularly when it must satisfy some corresponding requirements.Engineer should use necessary measures to avoid an irregular structure beingdestroyed or collapse in strong earthquake. The thesis chooses an odeum in Urumchi as research background. The odeum is aframe-shear wall structure, and has large area of open hole on its forth to sixth floor. It belongs to be an especially irregular structure. The thesis mainly focuses on thefollowing aspects:(1)evaluating the elastic seismic performances by means of response spectrummethod. Mainly testing the corresponding control ratio of code, like maximalinterlaminar displacement angle, shear-weight ratio and the ration ofrigidity-to-gravity.(2)At the stage of elastic analysis, thesis has compare the computed results ofrigid-floor hypothesis and elastic-floor hypothesis, and draws a conclusion that thisproject should not take the hypothesis of rigid-floor.(3)To determine whether the result of bottom shear force of response spectrummethod is reasonable, thesis also takes the measure of linear time-history analysis asan supplementary mean.(4)Taking the means of Pushover to evaluate whether the structure has an abilityto resist strong earthquake and whether the structure could meet the concept ofmultiple seismic fortification lines according to the sequence of plastic hinge.(5)Pointing out the weak story of structure according to the comprehensiveinformation of Pushover analysis.
