With the continuous development of economic construction, people have designed manynew style and unique irregular high-rise building. In recent years, for steel owns a lot ofadvantages such as light weight, uniform material, high strength and excellent reliabilityetc, steel is widely used in high-rise buildings. Every year, the losses caused by theearthquake on the earth is countless. With the increasing of urban population density, thedamage will be more serious by the strong earthquake. Therefore, it is necessary toresearch the seismic response and energy dissipation effect of irregular high-rise steelstructure.First, this paper mainly introduces the development situation of irregular high-risebuilding and several the seismic theoretical analysis. Then, this paper uses SAP2000toanalyze the modal, response spectrum, time-history and energy dissipation of onehigh-rise steel structure comprehensive office building under the frequent earthquake andrare earthquake. Last, we get the floor displacement and the angles of drift. The mainresearch contents include:(1)This paper used SAP2000to establish the finite element model with lateralbracing and we got the first12ranks of vibration period and mass participation coefficientof structure by the modal analysis, then we researched the dynamic characteristics ofstructure.(2)We executed the response spectrum analysis and the elastic time-historyanalysis to the model with lateral bracing and without lateral bracing under the frequentearthquake. By comparing the results we researched the seismic response and theinfluence of bracing to structure.(3)This paper executed the nonlinear time-history analysis to model with lateralbracing,then we got the seismic response of structure. By analyzing the plastic hinge wediscovered the weak points of structure.(4)We researched the energy dissipation effect of structure by setting theviscoelastic dampers on the model. We got the superiority of damping structure bycomparing the results of common model and the model with viscoelastic dampers.The paper was funded by the major projects “Research of the seismic responsecharacteristics and seismic resistance and shock absorption of irregular structure”, whichsupported by the natural science of colleges and universities in anhui province.(Code:KJ2014ZD07)...
