A Study On Smart Cities In China And Its Spatial Analysis

As the rapid development of globalization and information communication technology, smart city construction is a good solution to the city problems., and it can help to promote national economic development and adjust the structure of economy. Social efficiency can also be improved with the development of smart city.Shanghai, as the economy center of China, is also one of the leading smart cities.With the smart city action plan announcement, Shanghai moved into a rapd development stage of smart city construction. In the background of it, the smart city strategy of Four manland cities Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou,Shenzhen was chosen to compare with the strategy of Hong Kong and Taipei. The comparison is from six dimensions such as smart infrastructure, smart public service, smart information service&economy growth, smart human science, subjective feeling and soft environment. The analysis focus on the emphasis of different smart city strategy. Based on the stage of smart city construction, in this research, the spatial analysis of WLAN hotspots construction in Shanghai is studied in order to provide a reference for both Shanghai and other cities.This paper includes the following contents:The first chapter is an introduction of the background of this paper and an explanation of topic choosing, also with its theoretical and practical significance. The second chapter concludes the concept of smart city, and sums up the researches of this same topic of scholars from home and abroad. It also points out the purpose of this research. The third chapter is a study of recent situation of Chinese smart city construction such as the policy, construction mode, spatial distribution,and infrastructure. The fourth chapter is a strategy analysis of different smart cities in China in six smart city evaluation dimensions. The fifth chapter is a study of spatial analysis of Shanghai WLAN hotspots by GIS software. And this chapter also compared the different current situation of WLAN hotspots distribution in Shanghai and Hong Kong.. Last chapter is a key question conclusion and a forecast of following study on smart city study in China.
