It is a shocking fact that the number of spontaneously formed villages in our country has decreased by about several millions since the21th century. As a country with a history of civilization, the countryside is the basic unit of national culture and social development. The gather and immigration of the population and transition of production modes occur on the base of villages.Thousand years of history pushes the existence and development of villages, including the layout of villages, architectural forms, natural landscape, facilities and the unique cultural features of villages. The results of human social life natural evolution, withstand scrutiny and research, which represents the traditional Chinese heritage. With the rapid development of economy after Chinese economical reform, more villages have the trend to be cities. More and more rural people leave villages and hunt for jobs in the big cities. Villages are losing the energy. Many factors contribute to this process, as some government policies in the real estate industry unreasonable profits. Consequently, the high speed pattern of old villages transforming occupies the whole Chinese villages, which seriously destroys agricultural culture. The worse thing is that some villages disappear in this process, which would badly influence those villages that have not finish the transition process. With the increasing population and developing cities, most of urban lands are developed. Large amounts of companies focus more on rural areas. A number of traditional villages naturally for centuries, often for several years it was transformed into the monotony of the residential area of real estate development sharp knife. People cannot do anything to change this terrible situation.Today, the most important is economic development, and promote the process of urbanization. However, we should respect history and tradition of agricultural culture, which is the foundation of the nation’s development. We should slow down our paces to research more on cultural textures of villages, and summarize the strength of planning, architecture, landscape and facilities. The reserved parts should be applied into projects today and even in the future. Only by restoring and developing what we have in the history and culture, we can have the confidence to tell others that we are from a nation full of history and civilization. Respect the history, concern things in the view of today, and take responsibility for next generations are our inevitable duty.
