Construction on frozen soil area has received considerable attention to alleviatethe freeze injury. As an important temporary work during high-speed railwayconstruction, precast beam yard (PBY) is inevitable to be built on frozen soil areaand is therefore investigated in this study.The frozen soil was introduced by its distributions, categories and physicalproperties. The freeze injuries on constructions and solutions were also summarized.Based on the previous constructions,Combination of permafrost region specialeffects, a preliminary design of PBY on frozen soil area including its location, scaleand layout were discussed.As two crucial constructions in PBY, the beam fabrication pedestal and beamstorage pedestal were designed specifically for frozen soil area. These two beampedestals utilized pile foundation and were examined by a practical case.The technique of beam production at low-temperature was also investigatedand several solutions were proposed to ensure the beam quality.Based on theory of beam on elastic foundation, discusses the track foundationdesign and calculation of girder machine, and the value of the foundation coefficientk is analyzed and compared and discussed. |
