Accompanied by the proposal and development of smart grid technology, higher requirements on function and accuracy had been needed for energy metering system. While mproving the operational efficiency requirements for power enterprises had been gradually stronger and the power service level requirements of the customer to power enterprises continuously improved,strengthening the information collection and application of electricity and building a bridge of fast and effective communication between clients and electricity grid enterprises would have been an important task to enhance the level of service quality.This topic has designed a new type of smart metering systems which is based on the architecture of information collection system. It consists of energy meter (Intelligent Terminal), collection terminals, communication networks and the main station and achieves the basic functions of the information collection. It also realizes the electrical service and load control functions of two-way metering, electricity trading, demand response, measurement anomaly detection and power quality monitoring with the marketing system and dispatching automation system (energy management system)together,and bring about the distributed power monitoring, energy management users, custom power and other advanced applications with the development of technology. The system built a bridge of information for power grid enterprises and power users, provided technical support for intelligent power management and standard service organizations and the intelligent, diverse, interactive electricity services for power customers, achieved the friendly interaction of the power customer energy flow, information flow and business flow with power users, and built a new model for the electricity supply of broad customer participation, rapid market response, flexible service, optimal allocation of resources, efficient management of intensive and multi-win-win cooperation.It would increasingly improve the power quality and service quality while enhancing the intelligent and interactive services capacity, and gradually rise the the proportion of end-use efficiency and energy accounted for final energy consumption. We also looked forward to further promote the application of this system so as to gradually achieve the intelligent electricity service goals of grid operation panorama information collection, efficient load management and full electricity service model. This system combined the actual situation of Jingwei industrial park’s grid, conducted a pilot design applications, and finally gave the corporate impact and economic analysis of this new smart metering system.
