Schedule management is one of the three objectives of project management, which has an important impact.on the quality and cost of construction. The visual scheduling of power transmission projects has been studied in this paper.The resource-constrained project scheduling theory has been chosen as the main method to sovle the schedule of power transmission projects, since both the relaitonship constraints and resource constraints have been considered in this theory. By analyzing the research of resource-constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP), artificial fish swarm algorithm(AFSA) is taken to solve this problem. This paper uses harmony search algorithm, chaos function to improve the optimization ablity of the basic AFSA. It also uses the serial schedule generation scheme (SSGS), the roulette which is used in genetic algorithm(GA) and the priority function to set up a practical encode and decode solution for RCPSP. The single-mode resource constrained project scheduling problem (SRCPSP) and multi-mode resource constrained project scheduling problem (MRCPSP) have been taken to verificate the capability of this new algorithm. And the test results show that it is feasible for solving the RCPSP.Then visualization technology is arranged to express and display the schedule on four-dimension form. The visual schedling system of power transmission projects has been proposed in this paper. It can achieve the optimization of schedule and ouput Gantt chart and resource consumption figures according to the renewed schedule. At the same time, it can establish the process of the interaction between the management and computer, and adjust the schedule by the specific information from the considering of management. Besides, the most important is to finish and save the four-dimension simulation of the best schedule in last. In this paper, the system is founded by Matlab language, and accomplish the main function of visual scheduling of power transmission projects.This paper aims to find a new method to solve the RCPSP and uses the new method(HSAFSA) to achieve the visual scheduling of power transmission projects, which will be beneficial to imporve the mangement of schedule.
