Along with our country’s economy rapid development, traffic and axle load have arapid increase, then road conditions are more and more complex. In the highway,especially asphalt pavement, which often didn’t meet the design life occurs permanentdeformation.Studying the meaning of the permanent deformation of asphalt pavement isthat not only is the important basis of asphalt mixture proportioning design, also canunderstand the asphalt surface damage development situation of the use period, whichprovide a reference for the pavement repair and maintenance in the future. It caneffectively control the asphalt surface rutting depth, and improve the pavement serviceperformance, which provide guarantee for convenient, unobstructed and safe driving. Itcan prolong the service life of the asphalt surface, and save maintenance cost.This paper taking permanent deformation on disease data of Yuqian, combin-ed with BISAR software for asphalt pavement shear stress distribution state,has amore thorough system research. It finds that the permanent deformation of the l-ongitudinal slope is a lot more serious than the level road through Yuqian high-way diseases data and surface stress analysis. It concluded the relationship betwe-en the permanent deformation and driving speed, road slope and vehicle load co-nditions. In order to the study of material properties of asphalt mixture, it resea-rches firstly the influence factors of permanent deformation and the characteristic-s of different types of rut. It concludes that the permanent deformation develop-ment mechanism of asphalt pavement obtains four aspects: structural damage, con-tinue to pressure, shear flow and abrasion. Using BISAR3.0software for asphaltpavement, it analyzes and calculates shear stress under different horizontal forcecoefficient and different layers state condition. It concludes the scope of interfer-ence of shear stress when the horizontal force coefficient changes, the influenceof vehicle load position on shear stress, and the distribution law of shear stress i-n different interlayer states. These provide a basis for preventing and controllingpermanent deformation. Through the disease data and numerical analysis, it concl-udes the development mechanism of the permanent deformation of asphalt pave-ment. At the same time, the preventing measures of permanent deformation of asphalt pavement are also discussed. Through the material, cons-truction and manag-ement, it playes a guiding role to the construction of asphalt road.
