At present, a number of studies about coal mining under buildings, water bodyand rail roads carried out both in domestic and foreign,but there are few studies on coalmining underfreewaybridge,the analytical theory is not perfect enough.As Chinesemain energy, coal demand is growingwith the development of economy and society,coal is disposable so we need more coal sources. Affected by geologicalstructure,impacts on freeway bridge after coal seam miningmust befullyresearched,andput forwardmeasures to avoid the influence and ensure theoperational safety of freeway bridges.This paper analyzed ground movement and deformation after coal mining underfreeway bridge relying on the freeway of Nanchuan to Wansheng, On thisbasisaccording to the expected deformation values of actual sinking and tilt in eachaffected bridge made by Tangshan Institute. Statistical analysised the maximum valuesofsettlement, tilt, horizontal movement affected by coal mining in Nan-Wan freeway;applying ABAQUS software to simulate those situations, checking bridge safety.According to the checking results, put forward the measures to resist deformation, andprovide a reference to the design of freeway. The main research contents are asfollows:①Relying on the freeway of Nanchuan to Wansheng, analysised thegeologicalstructure, stratigraphy, hydrology condition and the relationship of coal distributionand bridge positions, described the complexity of the coal mining.②According to the actual values of settlement, tilt, horizontal movementin eachaffected bridgedrawn the graphs of settlement, tilt, horizontal movement in eath bridgeand find out the most adverse impact for abridge in those factors.③Use ABAQUS software to simulate the adverse effects for bridge beams andstandoffs and the stress-strain conditions in those conditions, check out the safety ofthe bridge.④According to the safety computing and the failure modes, put forwardappropriate measures to respond the ground deformation after coal mining, make surethe operational safety of freeway.
