The overloaded and longitudinal slope sections of highway, whose stress and straindistributions are different from the normal ones, are stricter with high temperaturedeformation resistance, fatigue resistance and shearing resistance of asphalt mixture.Dense-graded asphalt stabilized macadam is a dense-framework type mixture with goodhigh-temperature rutting resistance and shearing resistance. Combined with the projectof Bureau of Transport of Gansu Province [GJG (research)2012(03)]Key TechnologyResearch on Asphalt Pavement of Highway Longitudinal Slope Sections in Loess Area,the author furthers studies on its material composition and road performance in thispaper.The paper has a research on the stress and strain distributions, the maximum oftensile stress and shearing stress under layer of overloaded and longitudinal slope.Concentrating on regulating the ATB-30distribution range and by changing its contentof coarse and fine aggregation particles at all levels, it is to obtain five different types ofgradation. To determine the initial optimum asphalt content, it is based on the surfacearea and the oil film thickness of the characteristic factors model; To put forward coarseaggregation particles limits proper for ATB-30overloaded and longitudinal slope, andto select three different better gradation, it is rated by SSC (Stone-on-stone contact),dynamic stability and shearing strength to analyze the influence of the ratio of coarseand fine aggregation particles in asphalt stabilized macadam mixtures on frameworkstructure and shearing resistance; To determine the final optimum asphalt content,rotating solid product is properly used. It is to test its multiple road performance throughcoMParing analysis with on-site experimental part by conducting experiments on hightemperature stability, low-temperature crack resistance, water stability, fatigueresistance and shearing resistance of the selected gradation of asphalt stabilizedmacadam mixtures.Based on the Technology Specifications for Asphalt Pavement Construction(JTGF402004), on-site experimental section of overloaded and longitudinal slope,Leixi Highway, Gansu and related research achievements at home and abroad, theauthor conducts a study on the segregation control techniques of ATB-30mixtures,including stirring, transportation, paving and rolling, etc.
