In traffic volume, overload, weather, and other factors, the highway is getting all kinds of diseases with open time growth. In the "Beijing-Taipei" highway maintenance process, we found that most of diseases appear is due to sub-base disease reflected to surface road, and then rolled through the traffic load. Therefore, how to extend the service life and ensure quality of the highway has become a popular research in the highway maintenance. We use a new technology in"Beijing-Taipei"Highway maintenance process of the southern section of Hefei-Xuzhou, the up-base layer with Large Stone Asphalt Macadam is replaced for Cement Stabilized Aggregate in this technology. In this paper, we use plane strain finite element method and ABAQUS software for mechanical analysis. This article calculates the bottom of up-base layer and the top of surface layer stress changes when the up-base layer uses Large Stone Asphalt Macadam and Cement Stabilized Aggregate respectively, also calculates the bottom of up base and the top of surface layer stress changes when crack appears in down-base layer. After the finite element analysis, The results show that the maximum stress on the bottom of up-base layer with Large Stone Asphalt Macadam less than Cement Stabilized Aggregate, when the crack appear in down-base layer. So the former structure crack resistance is better than the latter.According to the theory and mechanical analysis of the road base and road surface, this article offer remedial measures to"Beijing-Taipei"Highway maintenance process of the southern section of Hefei-Xuzhou. The analysis method used in this paper could reflect the actual situation, the same process have some significance in the mechanical analysis and maintenance process of the highway.
