Under construction bridge need a special load tes to check the operation reliability ofbridge is in compliance with design standards or to meet the using requirements beforeopening the traffic; thus, to ensure the reliability of bridge structure during the process ofoperation. In-service bridges also require loading test during the process of regularlycheck and special inspection to assess the bearing capacity of the bridge structure.Today, with the rapid development of computer technology, human beings have enteredinto information age. However, for the loading test of bridge, when it turns to thecalculation of vehicles location of loading section, it is still in the situation of only byhand computation. Moreover, there are so many problems in hand computation, such asgreat workload, low efficiency, besides, it can’t judge whether loading section overrunor not. Under such a situation of bridge load test, optimization design of the vehicleautomatic loading has a important guiding significance. And the main content of thisarticle lists as follow:①According to bridge load test is still in the situation of manual or semi-manualcomputation, seizing the numerical characteristics of the loading test, connecting withthe existing optimization theory, establish an optimization mathematical model ofvehicle automatic loading during a bridge load test that takes the vehicle locations,driving direction of vehicles, types of vehicle, traffic lanes, etc. as design variable.Takes unsupervised loading efficiency of loading interface as constraint condition andthe efficiency of the loading interface and the numbers of vehicles as objectivefunction’s constrained optimization problems.②Selecting appropriate optimization algorithm to research so that slove themulti-dimensional constraint optimization problems. Comparative study for continuousvariables complex method and discrete variable complex method to solve themultidimensional constraint optimization problem. By comparing the analysis, discretevariable complex method is more suitable for vehicle automatic loading of static testwhichis linear and nonlinear combination.③According to the engineering practice static of load test, make appropriateimprovements on discrete variable complex method, form an optimization mathematicalmodel of based on discrete variable complex method of load test of vehicle automaticloading. Then, establishing the optimization program of vehicle automatic loading by using the vb.net computer programming language.④To make verification for the optimum established procedures combining withengineering examples. It has a very good applicability and quickly calculates the testresults for all the validated simple supported girder bridges, continuous girder bridgesand cable-stayed bridges. The results show that this method can determine vehicle’spositions very soon during bridge static test and ensure the loading efficiency is notoverload. This method can greatly improve the efficiency of the static load test, and thecomputational efficiency of the design staffs, meanwhile, the calculation results are veryreliable. As a result, it has great application value in engineering practices.
