With the rapid development of urban transport, a variety of vehicles havebegan to develop in the direction of intelligent transportation (ITS), the school bus isone of them. School bus management regulations proposed to rational planningschool bus routes and sites, enhance school bus safety management, improve schoolbus services. School bus shuttle back and forth between downtown and UniversityCity.How to make time and resources of the teachers using in the whole workprocess shortest and least has become an important issue.These problems in the school bus, there are two aspects research tasks to solve.The first task is to optimize the school routes,school bus stations are divided intoregions by K-means algorithm, and each region be divided are optimized byimproved ant colony algorithm,so this method optimizes the original line.The secondtask is to built school bus scheduling platform,and strengthen supervision andschool bus scheduling management, so that passengers can be achieved to shareinformation between drivers and dispatchers.Finally the school bus can effectivelydispatch management.The school bus management system is mainly composed of vehicle-mounteddevice, messages sending and receiving device and server scheduling software. Thethree parts complement each other and complete the design of the school busmanagement systems together.Design on the basis of the positioning and GUI functions of vehicle-mounteddevice, vehicle-mounted device realizes the transmission of GPS informationthrough the GPRS network and sends the information to the server during theprocess of operation. The design of vehicle-mounted device includes the hardware,software and structure design. The hardware is composed of ARM processor, GPSmodule, GSM/GPRS module, touch screen module, GPS antenna and GSM antenna.The software involves the GPRS communication, UC/OS-II and UCGUItransplantation. The final task is to complete the design of mechanical structure.Messages sending and receiving device is connected to the server through the serial port to input and output information, using the SIM card and GSM module toreceive the information sent by the passengers and then returning the processedvehicle position information back to the passengers. Considering the functionalrequirements of the device, this article selects the suitable GSM module andcomponents to complete the circuit design of the device and achieve thecommunication function of the device.Server scheduling software is the core control part of school running system,all the bus scheduling management and monitoring are managed by the serverscheduling system. In the software design process, the first is the design of thedatabase, whose database table is designed according to the functional requirementsof the software; then complete the software design of the receiving information serialport and GPRS interface to achieve the receiving and sending of the information;finally, design software function module of the main interface, such as the GIS map,vehicle information management, etc.
