By now, the world’s first two successful double arch dams, as the new type with theoretical research abroad only, have been built in Guangxi Province. Theoretically, double arch dam has the advantages of saving building materials, improving the dam body security, easy controlling the temperature during building period and ect. Therefor, to have accurate verification, an in-depth study for Huojia double arch dam is necessary.Huojia double arch dam, as the world’s first combination dam, is quite necessary for studying and discussing on different professional fields. In this thesis, a ANSYS-based mold is built, through finite element method, with digital simulation of static combination analysis, displacement analysis and tress analysis and come up with the conclusion of the displacement stress distribution law of static loaded small and medium arch dam. Meanwhile, this thesis put stress on the discussion:whether hydrostatic pressure or temperature stress plays the leading role when Huojia double arch under static combination; whether the design of Huojia double arch dam improves the stress and displacement of the first layer of the dam body and has relatively larger effect on the temperature stress of the second layer; whether single dam is enough for the combined load and ect. The effort of our work is to offer reliable scientific basis for the consolidation of Huojia double arch dam and to offer reference for the development of this new style double arch dam in the future.
