As a common dam type,arch dam. plays an important role and is widely used in the construction of hydraulic structure engineering at home and abroad.brings concern in recent years. In engineering practice, how to control temperature stress is a very important problem. Because the shape of arch dam is more complex than other types of dam structure in geometry, numerical of temperature load and stress load of concrete arch dam by finite element methord, is a main method during arch dam design. Accurate calculation of the temperature load of arch dam in operation period is important factor for accurately evaluating the anti cracking safety and ensuring the safe by operation of high arch dam. From the engineering view, seismic performance analysis has become a key issue. Seismic analysis of concrete arch dam with temperature load is an important content of safety evaluation of arch dam. In this paper, the static and dynamic three-dimensional finite element analysis of someone high concrete arch dam in China. Based on the finite element method, the stress and displacement of high concrete arch dam under temperature load is analyzed by appling the software of ANSYS. The main works and contents are as follows:(1) The numerical establishment of three-dimensional finite element model of the arch dam. The boundary conditions and initial conditions of temperature load of arch dam are analyzed in detail. In the chapter 3. the coupling theory of thermal conduction and thermal structure and the three-dimensional finite element method are present. Numerical simulation of three dimensional finite element model is completed by using ANSYS. The results show that the maximum radial displacement and the air temperature is inversely related to the temperature load, the maximum radial displacement decreases and the decrease of temperature.(2) Linear elastic mechanics analysis of the arch dam is carried out. The boundary conditions and initial conditions of temperature load are numerical. On the basis of the analysis of temperature load, the stress analysis is carried out. The development and change of the total static stress field of the dam under the action of gravity, water pressure, sediment pressure and temperature load are obtained. The deformation and stress due to temperature change are calculated and analyzed. Based on the general engineering simulation analysis software ANSYS, the simulation analysis program of the steady state and transient temperature load and stress field of concrete arch dam is worked out. The above simulation procedure owns the function of real-time simulation and prediction, and it has a good generality.(3) The static and dynamic analysis of high arch dam with temperature load, including three dimensional finite element model for the concrete arch dam. Based on the dynamical propagate theory, spectrum analysis and time history analysis are studied. based on the finite element method, the response spectrum analysis and dynamic time history analysis solution procedure are developed by the ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) of ANSYS,in which the dynamic interaction between dam and foundation, static and dynamic calculation analysis are both considered. The natural vibration characteristics and seismic response of arch dam are studied. According to the calculation results, the dynamic stress distribution of arch dam, various different effects and the effects of ground motion on the dam are summarized. Finally, according to the dynamic results,some suggestions are advised for a seismic measures of arch dam.
