For us, the energy crisis is no longer an alarmist, the attendant is looking for anew energy sources to replace the traditional energy sources to become a new pillarindustry in the midstream power. Among them, in the process of finding andexploiting the many new energy, the photovoltaic industry is mushrooming unfold asit is becoming a new field of energy generation to be a new role. The solar has manyadvantages, such as environmental protection, unlimited storage capacity and moreconvenient use, etc. Because of these advantages make the development ofphotovoltaic power generation faster. Power into our lives has some history, but insome remote mountainous areas rich in solar energy resources are far from the area orthe main power grid, the problems of power supply still affecting people’s daily lives.At this time, the construction of off-grid photovoltaic systems has become aneffective measure to solve the problem.This thesis is based on the project proposed of the off-grid photovoltaic powerstation in S city type. The off grid PV power system selection and simulation studyusing PVSYSTEM software and MATLAB software. The main research contents ofthis paper are as follows:(a)First, the PV power plant sitting factors were analyzed, including the factorsof the latitude and longitude in S City, elevation, etc. Then, using MATLAB softwaresimulation model of solar radiation intensity, assessed by the simulation results areanalyzed and selected areas of solar energy resources in the region in order to verifythat the appropriate construction of photovoltaic power plants(b)The off-grid PV power system design and equipment selection usingPVSYSTEM software,including photovoltaic selection,installation angle selectionand determine the series parallel mode. In addition, also including batteries andphotovoltaic inverter choice. In order to improve the utilization rate of the photovoltaic system of solar energy, build simulation model for maximum powertracking based on incremental conductance method by using the MATLAB softwareand changing the step size, comparing the simulation results under the long searchbased on the incremental conductance method of optimal step length in order to findthe optimal step incremental conductance method based on optimal step tracking, andachieve the best effect. Finally, verify the system design of the off grid PV system tomeet the requirements of the rated operating load.(c)In order to avoid the unstable situation due to increasing system load’scapacity,we should prediction the short-term power of the stand-alone PV powerstation. Based on the MATLAB software, build the prediction model of power basedon BP neural network, the parameters collection of stand-alone PV power station inthe region of light intensity, solar incident angle, temperature for training and testingsystem for the prediction model of the power, finally to predict the short-term power.In this way, can better ensure the rationality from the construction of grid photovoltaicpower station.The research results of this thesis can provide the off-grid PV power system inremote areas.
