In recent years with the constant improvement of the society and economy, thepopularization of high school has become a trend. As an important part of high schooleducation, senior high school has attracted extensive attention from policymakers tothe public.At present, a lot of research on development and construction of senior highschool focus on the education management, less focus on the perspective of urbanplanning. In fact, the distribution of the senior high school is affacted by the urbanspace structure, land use planning, transportation planning, how to weaken negativeeffect and expand the positive effectthe influence of such factors in senior high schooldistribution adjustment is of great significance. In addition, some article of primaryand secondary school planning research mentioned some principles and methodsabout senior high school, but the statement is not detailed enough. In the currentsenior high school is not compulsory education, the method and principle of primaryschool and junior high school is different from senior high school, therefore studythe distribution method of senior high school specially is necessary.Based on the investigation of58senior high schools in Zhengzhou main cityarea, this article does in-depth analysis and research on the current resourcesconfiguration and space distribution, sum up five insufficiency: the gross of seniorhigh school is not enough, the key senior high school scale is too large, the scalebenefit of private schools is not obvious, the uneven spatial distribution, completemiddle schools account for a larger proportion. And then analyze causes from fiveaspects: planning and implementation of land use, adjustment and coordination ofrelevant government departments, the forming conditions of high quality educationresources，the influence of public policy for urban planning, and managementmechanisms of schools and so on.On this basis, the article studies education facilities distribution planning theory of the other districts both at home and abroad, combined with national standard, localconstruction standards, tring to explore the distribution planning method of main cityarea of Zhengzhou senior high school. Under the guidance of senior high schooldistribution principles, through the demand scale forecast, the location choosingrequirements, school scale, school land index and a series of related research, thearticle state the senior high school distribution planning step by step.Finally, in order to strengthen the maneuverability of the planning, combinedwith the situation of Zhengzhou, the article put forward four strategies of the seniorhigh school planning implementation: group distribution, appropriate development ofprivate education, actively promoting land replacement, combination with the citynew district. Finally, the artile came up with the implementation steps in differentstages of urban land use structure characteristics and senior high school spacedistribution characteristics.
