Study On Steering Angle Error Of Combined Trailer

The combined trailer consists of many trailers in lengthways or crosswise,which can be used in transporting the oversized objects. The combined trailer isdifferent from the normal trailer in size and performance, and it belongs to thespecial-purpose vehicle.In the thesis, the purpose is to reduce the maximum error ofsteering angles. The connecting holes of steering tubes were taken as the studyobject,and the steering mechanism of combined trailer was optimized. The task isstudied by means of experiments and analog simulation of ADAMS (AutomaticDynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems).The conclusion can be drawn from the experiment that wheels slip extent werecaused by the error of steering angles, the request for utilization can be meet when thethe error of steering angles are under70.Taking the combined trailer whose rows is2and axes is among3to40as the object of study,the minimum of the maximal error ofsteering angles as the optimization goal, and the length of steering tubes and thecoordinates of connected holes as constraint,the error of steering angles for combinedtrailer whose rows is2and axes is among3to40can be to under70by optimizing.The size of the plates which are used to arrange the connecting holes arerestricted,to meet the needs of manufacture,the holes obtained by optimizing need tobe combined.In the thesis, taking the max deviation of wheels’ steering angle as theoptimization goal, the holes which connect steering bars can be combined through themethod of weighted and were amended with the length of the steering tubes.Theanalog simulation shows that the steering needs can be meet by using the amendedholes to connect steering tubes when the vehicle steers.In order to further study the steering mechanism of combined trailers,thecombined trailers whose rows is4and axes is among3to40were optimized.Theresults show the deviation of wheels’ steering angle can be decreased significantly.Compared the result of simulation with the conclusion from experiment,theresults show that in the thesis the holes connecting steering tubes got can meet thesteering needs of combined trailers whose rows is2or4and axes is among3to40.
