| Container terminal logistics system consists of containers, ships, handlingequipment, communication equipment, berths, container yards and human resource,etc. With the development of our economic, the expanding of the foreign trade, thewidespread use of the containers in the transportation and the upsizing trend oftransport ships, in order to improve the efficiency of port design and portcompetitiveness, port designers and operators urgently need the science method ofplanning and designing container terminals and the improved management method ofcontainer terminal logistics systems. Before the container terminal was built, we canuse the system simulation model to analyze the targets, such as the terminalthroughput, the utilization of equipment, to obtain the reasonable design and save thecost of investment. After the container terminal was built, through the simulation ofthe terminal operation system, we can evaluate the operating scheduling strategies ofthe terminal, and guide the production, in order to improve operating efficiency.Therefore, there is a certain practical significance to have a research on the method ofsimulation and modeling, and establish the reasonable and right simulation model.This paper starts from the actual demand of the modern ports and the applicationof simulation modeling, regards the container terminal logistics system as the researchobject, and makes the research of the method of simulation and modeling. Based onthe description of Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS), this paper establishesthe DEVS model of a container terminal handling operation System, and builds itssimulation model by eM-Plant. The analysis results of model simulation show that themodel is correct and effective under the background of DCT wharf. In this paper, thechapters are as follows:The first chapter describes the research purpose and meaning of this topic,reviews the research literature on simulation and modeling in the domestic andforeign countries, and illustrates the content structure of this paper.The second chapter details the basic composition, the function and characteristicof the container terminal logistics system, and analyzes the related performance index. The third chapter introduces the formalization description method of DEVS,analyzes the entities and their function in the simulation model, and builds a DEVSmodel of the container terminal handling operation system.The fourth chapter, using the characteristics of DEVS and hierarchical modelingof eM-Plant, has transformed the DEVS model into the eM-Plant model, builds aneM-Plant simulation model of the container terminal handling operation system.The fifth chapter, in the background of DCT wharf, has carried on theexperiment of simulation. The experimental results show the correctness andeffectiveness of the simulation model.The final chapter briefly summarizes the research work in this thesis, and thedevelopment direction in the future. |
