Mirogrid, which includes destributed energy resources, load and unity grid, improveutilization rario and flexibility of intermittent renewable energy sources such as solar,wind. However, microgrid running operation is dangerous to the safe of the power grid,so introducing energy storage technology can smooth the power fluctuation ofintermittent sources. Among many types of energy storage systems, vanadium redox fowbattery(VRB) has received much attention for its advantages of long lifetime and highnergy efficency, VRB has a lot of applications on megawatt wind farm. With theencouragement of family distributed generation units now, small and medium-size powercontrol system will become inceasingly impootant. This thesis around vanadium batteryenergy storage system, combined with grid friendly control strategy, research ongrid-connceted microgrid system. This research has great practical significance tomedium and small micro-grid system.The main achievements are as follows:1. The exsting energy storage technologies and most popular mirogrid controlstrategies are analyzed, analysis vanadium battery superiority, proposed introduction gridfriendly control strategy in grid-connected microgrid with vanadium battery enerystorege, the intermittent energy sources maximun power output, active and inactivecontrol to single-phase vanadium battery energy storage system, simulation method tooptimal allocation of energy storage system capacity for smoothing microgrid andexternal power grid fluctions.2.At the present stage, researches about vanadium battery storage mostly stay intheory stage, lack of experiment analysis. In this context, there is a10KW microgridsystem engneer with vanadium battery storage, and the control strategy proposed in thiscontext is tested feasible, which soves the active and reactive power control in small andmedium-size microgrid system, and is the fundation for popularize and application ofsmall and medium-size microgrid system.
