Now the environmental problems have become increasingly prominent, so wind power, photovoltaic and other renewable energy sources receive more and more attention. But wind and solar power are intermittent and fluctuating because of the change of weather, which limits the effective use of wind power and photovoltaic power. An effective method to stabilize the fluctuation of wind and photovoltaic power is to configure energy storage system. There are currently a variety of storage energy options, such as battery energy storage system, superconducting magnetic energy storage system, flywheel energy storage system, super capacitor energy storage system, etc. Among these energy storage methods, battery energy storage method can be applied flexibly, technology of which is mature. Vanadium redox flow battery (VRB) as a battery energy storage mothod, has a long cycle life, is flexible capacity expansion, power and capacity of which can be decoupled design, can be largescale storage energy and combustion and explosion will not occur, so VRB is particularly suitable for microgrid. The concept of microgrid has been popular, as an effective form of organization of distributed power supply.Vanadium redox flow battery as energy storage system, this paper research on control method of wind-sloar-storage isolated mcrogrid. Firstly, expound the principle of vanadium redox flow battery and then establish the simulation model of vanadium redox flow battery, and the battery external characteristics experimentally obtained are analyzed. The different between microgrid and traditional grid is that, within the microgrid distributed power supply mostly connect to grid via inverter. So this paper analyzes the inverter control method in microgrid, so as to establish the simulation model of wind-sloar-storage microgrid. Then propose a coordinated control strategy of the wind -sloar-storage isolated mcrogrid based on VRB constraints and wind-solar constraints. Finally, establish the simulation model of the wind-sloar-storage isolated mcrogrid and analyse the proposed coordinated control strategy of the microgrid through simulation under different conditions.
