In order to solve the problem of current energy crisis,more and more attentionswere paid to extracting energy from tidal current,Therefore establish tidal farms andrealize tidal energy generation to achieve industrialization and commercialization hasgreat practical significance.The layout planning of tidal farm is important part of forthe construction of tidal farm, which directly related to the power generationefficiency, construction costs and construction processes of tidal farm.Therefore,before the construction of tidal farm, the distribution of tidal energyresource,operating conditions of power generation equipments,layout ofequipments,and so on were needed to be considered to appropriately, planning for thetidal farm.This paper studied tidal farm planning methods based on actualmeasurement data by means of theoretical research,numerical simulation andexperience in theory approach.The contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,the paper analysed the research status of planning methods of tidal farmat home and abroad, introduced evaluation methods of tidal energy resources and itssignificance for the location of the farms, then put forward the evaluation methodbased on the measured data. Research on the location conditions of tidal farm,provided the basis for selection and layout of turbines.Secondly,the paper Studied of the working principle of water turbine,analysedthe characteristics of different turbines and operation conditions of turbines, accordingto actual measurement data determined the performance parameters of turbines.Byusing CFD software to analysis the wake and international mutual influence amongturbines,the three-dimensional model of engineering prototype as the researchobject,sets close to the boundary conditions of the actual environment were analyzed.By analyzing the simulation results the vertical and horizontal spacing ofturbines in tidal farm were determined.Finally, the layout planning method to tidalfarm forming a perfect solution, according to the actual measurement data of marineto calculate the turbine model and number of installation,then calculates the installedpower of the whole farm, budgets power generating capacity were summarized.Finally,took Zhai Tang Island as an example,using methods previouslysummarized the conclusions,analysing the actual measurement data wereselected. the specific scope of tidal farm, After the rotating diameter of the turbineand the best installations pacing were determined, the turbines in the farm were laidout and the generating capacity of farm to provide a reference for the actualdevelopment were predicted.
