The dispatching information system in the power grid company is the integrity of subsystems for power system control and operation management. It is the fundamental for sharing and synchronizing data among various subsystems. Due to the complex features, the existing models in each of subsystems are not identical and another obstacle is to share the information among subsystems. Thus, it is necessary to build a platform with identical data and information based on advanced technologies. Moreover, the4V features of big data stand for Volume, Velocity, Variety and Value. Another issue is how to extract the valuable information for serving the assistance decision support system.Based on the methods for the power system operation information and models in the power grid company, the paper analyzes data sources and data architecture. In addition, the paper summaries the state of art and existing problems in the information management systems. In the end of the paper, the difficulties of implementing data integration and corresponding solutions are represented as well.Based on the principles and methodology, the key to implement the identical data in the management system is proposed and relevant key technologies include unified coding techniques for data objects, data modeling based on master data management and maintenance mechanism, the data model and service release mechanism. The control scheme in term of the data platform structure is proposed including standards and requirements for the system construction and future maintenance.
